Bill Trenchard - Chairman
With over a dozen years of experience as an internet entrepreneur, Bill offers an expert perspective in his role as LiveOps Chairman. Previously, Bill was CEO of LiveOps from January 2004 until December 2006 and was co-founder and CEO of CallCast, a revolutionary call routing technology firm that merged with LiveOps in 2003. Prior to CallCast, Bill was a managing director at idealab!, where he served portfolio companies in capacities ranging from a board member to interim CEO. Bill also founded and served as CEO of Jump Networks, Inc., which was acquired by Microsoft Corporation in April 1999. Bill has a Bachelor of Arts degree in science and technology studies from Cornell University.
Maynard Webb - CEO
As CEO, Maynard brings almost 30 years of experience developing and leading high-growth companies to his role at LiveOps. He joins LiveOps most recently from eBay where he served as Chief Operating Officer. At eBay, Maynard directed engineering and technology operations, product development, customer support, trust and safety, global billing, human resources, and legal functions. Prior to eBay, Maynard was Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Gateway, Inc. He has also held management and leadership positions at Bay Networks, Quantum Corporation, Thomas-Conrad Corporation and IBM. A respected member of the Silicon Valley technology community, Maynard sits on the boards of several successful companies, including Salesforce.com, Admob and Baynote. Maynard holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Florida Atlantic University.
James Beer
James is the executive vice president and chief financial officer for Symantec and heads the LiveOps audit committee. Prior to joining Symantec, James was chief financial officer of AMR Corp. and American Airlines, responsible for financial planning and analysis, treasury, corporate development, accounting, tax, purchasing, and investor relations. He also managed American Beacon Advisors Inc., a subsidiary of AMR that manages more than $40 billion in assets. James spent seven years as a management consultant at Andersen Consulting, now known as Accenture, in Europe and the United States. He holds a bachelor’s of science degree in aeronautical engineering from Imperial College, London University and a master’s degree in business administration from Harvard Business School.
Todd Bradley
Todd brings extensive experience in technology and revenue growth to LiveOps Board of Directors. Todd is executive vice president of HP's Personal Systems Group, a $28 billion annual business that includes personal computers, mobile devices, technical workstations, digital televisions, personal storage solutions and Internet services. Since joining HP in 2005, Todd has overseen accelerated revenue growth and improved profitability through disciplined execution, a renewed focus on targeted expansion and a commitment to delivering the best customer experience. Todd has a 25-year management career and has held senior roles at GE Capital Corp., The Dun & Bradstreet Corp., Gateway Corp., FedEx Corp and palmOne. Prior to joining HP, he was the chief executive officer of palmOne, where he led a successful turnaround of that company and established a new category of mobile devices for the industry. Todd received a bachelor of science in business administration from Towson University in Maryland, where he is now a member of the board of visitors.
Nanci Caldwell
Nanci is a highly experienced executive in the IT industry with a proven track record in marketing, sales and general management. Most recently Nanci was Executive Vice President and CMO for PeopleSoft. In that role Nanci was responsible for all aspects of marketing including corporate, product, industry, service, support and field. Prior to joining PeopleSoft in 2001, Nanci spent 19 years at HP where she held a number of senior management positions including VP and Group Marketing Manager, Global Services; VP and General Manager, North America Enterprise Computing Sales Organization; VP Enterprise Marketing and Global Sales Programs; VP and General Manager, HP Canada. Nanci is a member of the Board of Directors of Network General Corporation and Deltek Systems, Inc. Nanci was also a member of the Board of Directors of Hyperion Solutions until April 2007. Nanci is a graduate of Queen’s University, Kingston, Canada.
Douglas Carlisle
Doug has served as a Director of LiveOps since December 2003. He is currently a managing partner at Menlo Ventures and joined the organization in 1982. At Menlo, Doug focuses primarily on early-stage communications and software companies. He has also worked as a design engineer at ROLM Corporation. His recent investments and board seats include: Appshop, ePac, Expand Beyond, FutureTrade Technologies, GoDigital Networks, IntelliDOT, IronPort Systems, LiveOps, nLight Photonics, Open Solutions and ProfitLine. His prior investments and board seats include: Carrier Access Corporation (CACS); Cyras Systems, acquired by CIENA Corp. (CIEN); Efficient Networks (EFNT); Hotmail, acquired by Microsoft (MSFT); Kalpana, acquired by Cisco (CSCO); printCafe Software (PCAF); and Pyxis. Doug is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley (BS in Electrical Engineering), Stanford University Graduate School of Business (MBA) and Stanford University Law School (JD).
Jeffery D. Jordan
Jeff is the CEO of OpenTable and brings over 25 years of operating, strategy and marketing experience to the LiveOps Board. He comes from eBay (NASDAQ: EBAY), where he was the president of PayPal and before that general manager of eBay North America. As president of PayPal, the Web-based payment system owned by eBay, Jeffrey was responsible for establishing the company as the global standard for online payments. Under his leadership, PayPal expanded both beyond the eBay.com marketplace and internationally, resulting in a business that had 133 million user accounts and $38 billion in payment volume in 2006.
Prior to PayPal, Jeff served as senior vice president and general manager for eBay North America for five years. In that role, he helped build eBay into the Internet’s leading commerce brand and led the successful acquisitions of PayPal and Half.com. From September 1998 to September 1999, Jeff served as chief financial officer for Hollywood Entertainment Corporation, a video rental company, and president of its subsidiary, Reel.com. Previously, Jeffrey served in various capacities at The Walt Disney Corporation for eight years, most recently as senior vice president and chief financial officer of The Disney Store Worldwide. Before that, he worked for The Boston Consulting Group.
Jeff holds an M.B.A. degree from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a B.A. from Amherst College. He put himself through school working as a chef at Joe Theismann’s Restaurant in Northern Virginia and at Restaurant LaTerrasse and The White Dog Café in Philadelphia. He also serves on the Board of Directors of OpenTable.
