Marty Beard is President and Chief Executive Officer of LiveOps and serves on its board of directors. He is responsible for all strategic and operational aspects of the company. Under his leadership LiveOps is capitalizing on the cloud, social and mobile revolutions to transform customer service interactions.
Prior to joining LiveOps, Marty was President of Sybase 365, the global leader in mobile messaging and mobile commerce services. As President, he grew the division 150% and helped solidify Sybase’s enterprise mobility leadership - a major reason for SAP's $5.8B purchase of the company in July, 2010.
Prior to Sybase, Marty worked at Oracle where he was an early advocate of e-Commerce services as Vice President of Oracle Online. In this role he was responsible for driving Oracle’s e-business transformation, leveraging the web to improve customer sales and support.
He has served on the boards of directors for Harris Interactive and CTIA-The Wireless Association.
Marty obtained his bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley, with a double-major in Rhetoric and History. He also holds an MBA from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.
Ann Sung Ruckstuhl
Ann Sung Ruckstuhl is senior vice president and chief marketing officer at LiveOps. In her role, Ruckstuhl drives LiveOps' overall marketing and lead generation strategies across the customer lifecycle. Her responsibilities include corporate, product, field and partner marketing, public relations, analyst relations, social media, demand creation, lead nurturing and customer retention.
Ruckstuhl has over 15 years of executive management experience in building successful software and service businesses at start-ups and Fortune 500 companies including Symantec, Sybase (an SAP company), Billpoint (acquired by eBay), and Hewlett-Packard. As an executive at Symantec and HP, Ruckstuhl drove steep revenue and profit growth in consumer tech support and network support services. She worked closely with a number of Symantec BPO partners to market services in 15 languages, provisioned by 14 contact centers with local access numbers in 25 countries. As a part of the core executive teams at Billpoint/eBay and Sybase, Ruckstuhl pioneered the person-to-person online payment technology and transformed Sybase from a database software company to a global leader in enterprise mobility. Ruckstuhl is a frequent speaker at industry conferences on consumerization of IT, cloud computing and marketing automation.
Ruckstuhl received her bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and her master's degree in business administration from the University of Florida.
Karl is responsible for driving LiveOps Agent Services sales momentum, including growing the company's customer base in specific vertical industries such as Financial Services, Retail, Health & Human Services and building new channel partner relationships and business. A seasoned sales leader, he brings more than 20 years of sales experience with him, selling across leading technology and SaaS organizations.
Prior to LiveOps, Karl was the Chief of Sales with Achieve3000 and Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing with Pearson Education. He led these organizations in delivering SaaS-based learning programs and services to schools across the U.S. and around the world.
Karl began his sales career at Apple Computer. While there, he spent 12 years building and managing vertical industry-focused, national field sales, telesales and marketing teams, qualifying for the Golden Apple Club for 10 consecutive years.
Throughout his career he developed new channels and employed strategic focus on creating sales models that produce. His track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals in every role reflects that of a hunter who has successfully built and managed highly effective sales teams, identified and closed significant new accounts while building new business with existing accounts.
Karl has a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Illinois and an MBA from Arizona State University.
Mark Westover has spanned the globe between Japan and Silicon Valley to bring LiveOps a diversified and varied business background. He is responsible for LiveOps corporate development and strategy including developing global alliances, sales channels and technology partnerships, as well as corporate-wide operations, driving service availability and overall service quality to Tier 1 Enterprise clients and continued improvements in technology, processes and people to deliver best-in-class client solutions. With a background deeply rooted in operational business planning for B2B organizations, Mark has been instrumental in enabling companies to look across their business landscape to identify acquisition targets, strategic partnerships and create new revenue opportunities.
Prior to LiveOps Mark spent ten years at Sybase/SAP in various strategic development roles. He was instrumental in reversing the financial and strategic decline of the company through appropriate market positioning, acquisitions, and finally the acquisition of Sybase by SAP. During his tenure he acquired a dozen companies and established multi-million dollar partnerships with industry leaders such as IBM, HP, and Apple. His career has also given him the opportunity to live and work in Japan as a product development engineer and a management consultant from 1989 to 1993. He is fluent in Japanese.
Mark obtained his bachelor's degree with a major in mathematics from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. He also holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Norma Jean Lane
Norma oversees strategic workforce management at LiveOps. She manages the planning, direction and implementation of all human resources programs and policies and participates in the overall executive management of the company. Her team serves all LiveOps employees in the areas of human resource services, compensation, benefits, organizational development, training, EEO compliance, recruiting, staffing, and all other aspects of human capital management.
With over 20 years as a strategic human resources leader, Norma has an impressive track record in translating and aligning strategic business plans into HR strategy and operations to achieve Corporate objectives. Norma's extensive experience spans from leading global HR operations at fortune 500 companies to overseeing the HR due diligence process through successful IPOs. She also has extensive experience representing management in labor union mediations, building leadership development programs, as well as designing and implementing complex total compensation programs. Additionally, she is an expert in building highly efficient and respected global HR teams.
Prior to joining LiveOps, Norma held HR executive positions at successful companies in the Silicon Valley, to include ShoreTel, Fortinet Security Networks, Foundry Networks, Silicon Graphics, Direct TV Broadband, Kaiser Permanente and Apple Computer. Additionally Norma has been active on various Corporate Boards as a management representative for Compensation Committees.
Norma holds a Masters degree in Public Administration and a Bachelors degree in Human Resources and Organization Development from University of San Francisco. She is currently completing the Certificate of Equity Professionals (CEP) at Santa Clara University Leavey School of Business and maintains certification in Myers Briggs Assessment and other critical HR assessment tools.
Additionally, she received the prestigious award as "Speaker of the Year" from the Women of Color Action Network (WCAN), a global Women's Leadership association.
Sanjay Popli is Senior Vice President of Agent Services at LiveOps. He is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of LiveOps’ cloud talent customer interaction services via the most scalable true cloud contact center platform, LiveOps Platform. In this role, he manages the virtual community teams. Under his guidance, these teams build and launch new customers who leverage LiveOps’ community of 20,000 home-based, independent agents.
Popli brings more than 20 years of strategic, operational and general management expertise to LiveOps’ pioneering cloud technology and workforce model. Since joining LiveOps in 2006, he has held a number of executive leadership roles. He has been Vice President of Corporate & Business Development, responsible for strategic direction, M&A and key partnerships. He has also been Vice President of Channels, responsible for managing all go-to-market partnerships for LiveOps’ entrée into cloud contact center platform segment.
Prior to LiveOps, Popli was the Vice President of Marketing & Business Development at Salesforce.com and was responsible for leading all go-to-market aspects of their Service Cloud suite. Additionally, he has held management roles at Alcatel / Genesys Telecommunications and has advised Fortune 100 CEO’s at the management consulting firm of A.T. Kearney. He started his career at National Semiconductor and as the editor of the IEEE 802 Committee where he was responsible for driving the creation of Ethernet networking technology standards.
Popli holds an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the University of Chicago, an M.S. in Computer Engineering from University of Louisiana and a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Pune, India. He holds four patents and has published numerous articles in industry and technical conferences.
Steven Griset is responsible for leading the software engineering and security teams as they develop and secure LiveOps' cloud contact center solutions. At LiveOps he will leverage his 25 years of enterprise software experience to create industry-leading contact center solutions and drive innovation in customer experience technology and security that will ensure LiveOps continued leadership.
Prior to LiveOps Steven held technology and management positions with several Fortune 500 companies including Bank of America, Xerox, HP (EDS), and SAP (Sybase). In 1996 he joined XL Connect as a Principle Consultant as one of its original employees. XL Connect went on to IPO and latter was sold to Xerox.
Steven spent the last 12 years at Sybase (an SAP company) developing mobile and middleware software products. In his last role there he was Vice President of Research and Development for Sybase 365 where he and his team created the Mobiliser product family, a leader in the mobile commerce space and the heart of SAP's mobile B2C offering.
Steven is credited as a co-inventor in several mobile patent applications, he holds a BS in Business Administration from UC Riverside. In 2008 he completed the executive program in technology management from Caltech's Industrial Relationship Center.
Susan is responsible for overseeing the LiveOps' legal department responsible for providing legal support for all of LiveOps' transactional matters, litigation, regulatory compliance, and corporate affairs. Before being appointed to this role, Susan served on LiveOps' legal team as Associate General Counsel, where she was responsible for overseeing all technology licensing and agent services transactions. Prior to LiveOps, she was Assistant General Counsel for Hitachi Global Storage Technologies where she was lead counsel for Hitachi’s international direct and OEM sales operations, as well as litigation and technology licensing, and managed a team of attorneys supporting Hitachi GST’s legal operations worldwide. Earlier in her career, Susan spent approximately eight years in house at IBM in a variety of positions including senior attorney of the IBM Software Group, and staff counsel of the IBM Storage Technology Division. Susan holds a Juris Doctorate and Bachelor of Arts from Georgetown University.
Vasili is responsible for the sales operations of LiveOps Platform and Applications, focusing on growing the company's business globally including launching a value added reseller (VAR) and new partner programs. A customer service and telecommunications veteran and visionary, he has spent more than 15 years of his career building global sales organizations that get results.
Prior to LiveOps, Vasili was a sales leader at ShoreTel for eight years. During his tenure he managed the worldwide sales of ShoreTel's mobile applications product targeting Fortune1000 accounts. Leading up to that role, he lived in Australia and was the managing director of the APAC region where he successfully led the expansion of ShoreTel's Pure IP, UC business.
Much of Vasili's expertise in telecommunications comes from owning and operating a successful IP telephony solutions provider company in Southern California that designed and sold solutions around the Cisco, Mitel, and ShoreTel platforms. The company's success was due to Vasili’s ability to recognize that a gap existed in the market for a solutions provider to focus on voice and data during a period where the market was mainly focused on voice-only communications.
Before founding that company, he was the director of sales at a server-based IP PBX company, Com2001.com, which designed state-of-the-art speech-enabled UC solutions.
Vasili has a Bachelor in Business Administration from the University of San Diego.
